September 2025
Theme of the month: Burnout
What is burnout?
It’s when your spark has fizzled. You’re exhausted, flat, snappy, foggy, and disconnected. You might still be functioning but it feels like you’re dragging yourself through every task. Burnout can show up physically, mentally and emotionally.
Signs to watch for:
- Waking up tired
- Constant brain fog
- Losing interest in things you used to enjoy
- Snapping at people or withdrawing completely
- Dreading work, social plans, or day-to-day tasks
- Aches and pains that linger
- Overwhelm that doesn’t shift, even with rest
What to do when you’re burnt out
- Stop. Breathe. Slow it all right down.
- Drink a big glass of water—add a pinch of sea salt.
- Eat something warm and grounding.
- Move gently. Stretch, walk, sway.
- Say no to anything you don’t have energy for.
- Ask for help (yes, you’re allowed) and try the lovely exercises in this month’s guide.

Monthly ritual or release
Get into nature, get grounded and settled (check your journal for more info on grounding).
I want you to write a list of every feeling that’s felt hard to feel over the last 4 weeks. Try to keep it bullet point.
So for example it could be stress/exhaustion/anger/resentment. If feelings of shame come up when we are doing this, that’s okay my loves, just keep curious and there is no blame or shame here. We are all just meatsuits trying to do the best we can!
Next I want you to write an empowering word next to each of your hard words. So for example next to stress you could write calm. So you don’t want to feel stress you want to feel calm, yeah?
Next let’s just think about each situation, what one thing could you have done to feel calmer? Let that play out in the head, it could be rather than engaging in an argument when we were dysregulated, we could carve our space and step back. Let that filter into your mind and allow it to calm that memory. Instead of engaging you step back and allow things to diffuse. Feel how that feels. Go through as many words as you feel you can, reframing those hard to feel moments (read up on reframing in your journal).
Botanical Sound Seed
The Universal Reset (tuning forks 256 Hz and 384 Hz)
This month’s Botanical Sound Seed is The Universal Reset delivered on two tuning forks sounded together at 256 Hz (C) and 384 Hz (G). Played as a perfect fifth, they create a stabilising field that acts like a reset button, clearing overnight stagnation, calming the nervous system, and nudging you back to your natural rhythm. The paired tones support clarity, emotional regulation, and steady focus in a grounded, body-first way. Think of it as a vibrational tune-up: small daily exposure plants a resonance in your system (a sonic imprint) that your body begins to recognise as home.
How to use the recording
- Daily, 1 x 15 min cycle, sit or lie down, breathe slowly in for 4 out for 6. Headphones or a quiet room work best.
- Pair with your affirmations or a single journal prompt while the tones run.
- Weekly deep reset: follow with the 3-hour track for sleep or long meditation.
- Aftercare: drink water, place both feet on the floor, take a short walk if you feel floaty. If the sound feels intense, lower the volume or pause. Not while driving.
Sound files to download
For September’s Renew & Restore, Andy Littlewood from ZeroFiveZeroFour has produced two music pieces using sound files I created in the studio along with his own beautiful additions.
Andy also created images you can download and use as a soul-cleansing screen saver.
3 Hours (Restore)
This piece weaves together the calming tones of 384Hz and 256Hz with the gentle sounds of crickets, soothing pads, and the soft rhythm of a rain stick, creating a peaceful atmosphere designed to ease stress, support deep rest, and help the mind and body recover from burnout and restore balance with your nervous system.
10 min (Reset)
This 10-minute journey begins with grounding tones for the Root Chakra, gradually rising into a steady pulse aimed at opening the Heart Chakra, before opening into the spacious energy of the Third Eye Chakra to encourage clarity and open-mindedness. Wrapped in the natural soundscape of birds in a forest, creating a calm and nurturing space for balance and reflection to reset and regenerate.

This month's experience
Schedule your JOY!
The summer holidays are always pitched as a dream in the UK. The kids are off and its time to have FUN. Well its not always that way. Whether you are able to take time off with the kids, whether you have to work and juggle together, whether you don’t have kids but it still costs you four times the amount to go on holiday.
All in all, regardless of the boat you are in, August can be hard AF dealing with all the things and everyone is out of routine.
A day just for you
Your task this month is to spend some time with the family calendar and I want you to earmark a day per month just for you. Not your mates, not helping someone else, not a day to do fucking washing and the big shop. For you. To do something you’ve never done before. Maybe it’s starting a childhood hobby. Maybe it’s a sport you’ve watched from the sidelines thinking to yourself you’d never have the balls to get up there OR maybe just go to a park with a nice book, a flask of tea and a blanket for an hour reading, then go and hug a tree that’s caught your eye. These things could cost money but also they could be free.
Think about:
- Starting a new hobby or sport
- Watching a sunrise/sunset
- Spending some time in a park
- Going for a hike
Write a letter of truth to yourself
In 6 months it’s April. Get comfy, carve some time and breath some oil. Cleanse with smudge, oil or frequency and spend sometime thinking about what you want to be in April. WHERE do you want to be? HOW do you want to be? What do you NO LONGER want to be? Visualise what it’s going to look like, feel what it’s going to feel like and allow those feelings to drench your very being.
Write a letter to yourself. Its really important here that you write as if you have achieved these things, the tone of the letter is congratulatory, FEEL the pride as you write, get as much detail as you can into it. When you feel ready, seal your envelope and put it in your bedside drawer as close to your head as you can get. Next put a reminder into your phone for a date in April to open your letter.
BURNOUT RECOVERY TAKES TIME. Go slow. Refuel. And remember you don’t need to earn rest.
