What is reiki?
What is reiki all about? If you live near South Shields, you might well have spotted me standing on the beach at 6am waving my arms about and thought what on earth is she doing?!
Reiki has saved me over and over again. It's supported me on a spiritual and physical level and I can honestly say it has changed my life. I am deeply passionate about delivering gorgeous reiki experiences for the lovely people that trust me to work with them, whether that be during my reiki retreats with Fresh North or my training programmes for those who feel the call to dive deeper.
Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, and promotes healing through gentle touch. During a reiki session I will use my hands to deliver healing energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing.
Within my reiki work I adore to meld with my beloved aromatherapy and blissful frequency.
The origins of reiki
The term reiki is derived from the Japanese word ‘rei’, meaning universal, and ‘ki’, which refers to the life force energy that flows through all living things.
First developed in the early 1900s by Mikao Usui, reiki is now used all over the world, including in hospitals and hospices as a complementary health treatment.
Reiki works by balancing your energies - physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
As a Reiki Master Teacher in Usui Reiki and a practitioner of Seichem Reiki and Mary Magdalene Reiki, an absolute passion of mine is energy work outside. I have been running outdoor reiki groups for 4 years now and NOTHING beats energy, frequency, aromas dancing in the air while the waves hit the shore or the trees creek in the forest. So much so I also have another business with my Sharmama sister Emily Owen. Together we run Fresh North outdoor reiki retreats, delivering fun, connected magical experiences.
